Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
ParKontrol, Ltd. (U.S.) has been a comprehensive parking enforcement company in multiple cities for over a quarter century. We prioritize the safety and security of parking facilities by implementing strict regulations and utilizing an integrated system for viewing payments from multiple sources to aid in our enforcement. This system ensures proper vehicle identification, leading to a safer parking lot. We enforce parking regulations through ticketing, booting, and towing.
If you believe a violation was issued in error, we encourage you to use our established dispute process. See our Terms and Conditions at www.ParKontrol.com/terms-conditions. Our dispute process ensures a fair and accurate compare and contrast of your claims in light of the Rules and Regulations and facts collected by our auditors. While we understand the desire to share experiences online, we ask that you consider the potential for misinformation and the importance of using official channels for resolving disputes. Misrepresenting facts can have legal ramifications.
F1: How do I dispute a parking violation? Answer: Disputes are only considered if you have verifiable evidence that no violation occurred. Our auditors use detailed records and video surveillance to verify violations. If your dispute is denied, additional fees may apply. You can dispute a citation online at www.ParKontrol.com (Click Pay Ticket and follow instructions) within 7 days of receipt. Mail-in dispute instructions are available at www.ParKontrol.com/forms. We do not accept disputes by phone, email, or text. A hearing fee is assessed for all disputes that are not dismissed in their entirety. Each additional dispute on the same citation will incur additional dispute fees and additional late fees if the dispute is not dismissed in its entirety.
F2: Are there exceptions for honest mistakes? Answer: While we understand that mistakes can happen, all vehicles must comply with the parking facility's rules and regulations. This policy ensures the safety and security of the premises. Therefore, there are no exceptions for honest mistakes. Please verify all information before completing your payment.

F3: What are the common reasons for parking violations? Answer: The most common reasons include: non-payment or expired parking sessions, incorrect vehicle or lot information entered during payment, and failure to properly display parking permits. These issues result in unidentified or misidentified vehicles, which pose security risks.
F4: Why is my violation fee higher, in some cases, than in federal, state, city, county-owned streets or other parking areas? Answer: ParKontrol enforces and manages transient patron public and private parking facilities, which require dedicated security, software, insurance, maintenance, and enforcement. These costs are covered by parking and violation fees. Unlike government streets & government-operated public parking, these parking facilities are not funded by taxpayer dollars or monitored by municipal police.
F5: Why is my violation fee lower than previous impound fees? Answer: Thank goodness this time, the vehicle was not impounded and there was no confrontation with the tow Truck Driver or the Booter! Parking citations are a more cost-effective and efficient alternative to impounding. They allow violators to resolve the issue quickly and avoid the significant time and expense associated with retrieving a vehicle from an impound yard, which often requires proof of ownership.
